I watched the season finale of The Office. It was . . . amazing. Truly. It made me a better man.
I had a cupcake from Magnolia's bakery in NYC. It was . . . amazing. Truly. It made me a little fatter.
Summer movies I'm excited about
The Da Vinci Code
Pirates of the Carribean 2
The Peaceful Warrior
Why does the phrase "rear up" actually mean to lift one's front up?
I have roughly 7 loads of laundry to do right now. Roughly 5 loads of that is on my bedroom floor.
My wife comes home from a ten month tour in 9 days. This makes me happy. I start "working" (a.k.a. watching people sleep) on Wednesday night. That makes me not poor.
My brother- and sister-in-law had a baby this week. He's really small right now.
(Is there a correct grammatical way to write "brother- and sister-in-law if they are both in-laws? Did I do it right?)

What? You're not excited about Snakes On A Plane?

What? Didn't you mean "ecstatic," or "psyched," or "elated"?!--anything that better describes the amount of emotion you feel at the thought of your wife coming home...
"Happy" just doesn't do it justice.
And she feels the same...

yeah and all you say about your new nephew is that "he is really small" -- not SO cute, or adorable, or amazing, just SMALL?!! Seriously shallow thoughts

Xerxes, you better come up with some clarifications soon...

Guys, chill. It was intentional understatement in for the sake of humor. Of course I'm ecstatic, psyched, and elated that my wife is coming home. And of course baby Judah is SO cute, adorable, and amazing. I was simply taking a laid-back approach to my descriptions. You can't expect more when the title of this post is SHALLOW THOUGHTS.
Y'all need to relax.
Uh, Snakes On A Plane?

Unlike all the other ingrates, i really appreciated your shallow comments, it makes me feel like i'm not alone. i found it very informative. i read the first two books in the inheritance series in like 4 mins(actually 3 days) and am waiting for the third. I love that series, and I didn’t know about the movie. Thanks again.

I don't know whether I'm honored to have a kindred spirit or pissed because childish just called my wife and brother-in-law "ingrates."
Yeah, but you can see the trailer during x-men 3.
