A Trip to the Pier

Aaron, Brett, Paul, and I went down to the fishing pier at Henlopen state park last week. We fished (and played scrabble) almost all night long. It was fun. These are some photographs that Brett Weber took.

Paul caught a fish

It was a really fun trip. Usually that pier is pretty crowded. Even in the dead of winter there are people out there all night long. This trip, aside from a sea monster that kept shaking the entire structure and making aweful growling sounds, we were the only ones for most of the time.

I hope the conversation was good, because that little minnow is not worth 4 dudes staying up all night out in the cold.

Brett Weber is one of the most talented photographers I know. His use of light and exposure is beautiful.

if the fish was worth mentioning you would have mentioned it. And took a picture of it. And posted the picture here.

Wow Paul that was a fish?? Looks like a dirty wet sock to me...

But then again I have been fishing every year since I was about 5 and only one time in all that time have I ever caught a fish...so that begs the question am I really fishing or just sitting there with a pole?

i thought those looks like Brett's photos.. i agree with Collin 100%

I love Cape Henlopen. Having grown up 15 minutes away from there, it was always one of my most favorite places to go.

first off, the pic with the hand on the light pole blows. there's one exactly the same without the hand, and it's genius, but that one blows, absolute rubbish. i caught that fish within the first five minutes of fishing, the next one that was caught was about 3-4hours later.

Brett Weber is one of the most ugly photographers I know. His use of light and exposure makes me vomit.

Posted by: childish on November 15, 2006 02:47 PM

I wonder why they call him childish?

Hey Brett, you should learn how to spell your own name.

You suck at impersonating.

Posted by: Helga on November 15, 2006 07:00 PM

Hey Helga maybe you should come up with a cool name like BSFingwebber how about that.

Posted by: BSFingwebber on November 15, 2006 07:03 PM

Scrabble is probably my favorite "board" game.

I always thought that only elderly people played scrabble, but now I'm playing it.

What does it mean?

Posted by: ian on November 16, 2006 12:05 PM

scrabble rocks ~ r-1+O-1+C-3(double letter score)+K-5= 13 points.
