One Bank

When you work in a big corporation, you quickly realize that there are a group of people who take it way too seriously. . . this would be exhibit A.

This is honestly one of the saddest things I've ever seen. U2 has to be excited to hear this. He's got a pretty good voice. . . and he looks like he's actually. .. into it. Dude, you're selling credit cards. You've got to lighten up a bit here.

This is a song, set to U2's One, sung to celebrate the merger of Bank of America and MBNA.

I feel sorry for that guy. Maybe he missed his calling and wishes that he was the frontman for a band...

Well, he looked like this guy named Dino "Something-opolis".
But I have come to realize that it isnt him. So, sorry about that. No connection that I know of, but maybe we are really only six degrees apart...

I think that song is actually called, Baby Got Back--but that title works just fine, too, cause we all knew what you were talking about!

this is hilarious and sad. The crowd seems to be 100% not enjoying any of this. This would work if it were set up as a joke, but he seems so serious that it just doesn't

As bad as this is, it is not quite as bad that one credit card company that for some reason is using "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles as their theme song. That just makes me want to throw up.

Posted by: jaysonjaz on November 8, 2006 09:24 PM

what about the standing O at the end? that must have made the dudes whole life!

Posted by: Anonymous on November 8, 2006 11:09 PM

1) that "all you need is love" commercial? None other then Chase! (no one who works there likes it either).

2) the standing O seems so forced at the end, don't you think? like "you better stand up and clap or you don't get a bonus this year" forced. the crowd goes from bored and disinterested to standing in clapping in half a second.

I think the guy at least deserves some credit for keeping a straight face during that whole song. Not much, but some...
