Another one finished
I reached FADE OUT on my latest screenplay, the one kind of without a name, but I'm leaning towards "Mother's Boy." I like it, it's very different from anything I've written so far.
In case we're keeping score, here is what I've written so far, from the most recent to the oldest.
Mother's Boy - Drama
Retro Band - Comedy
Hunter of Hunter's - Crime Drama
Black Family Singers of the Church of God Hallegalujah - Comedy
The Black Death - Action Adventure
War Between the States - Historical Drama / Romance / Fantasy (this is the one that sucks).
6 full lengths is not so bad. I'm not writing the sex(less) comedy this quarter, by the way. Michael Colleary was really excited by another one of my ideas, so I'm writing that one. Makes sense to me to write the story people in power are excited to read, especially when it's one you've been wanting to write for some time. But this one will take a ton more work.
I'm ready, though. Bring it on.

congrats jase! so awesome. I want to read one some day - when am I getting that "page of the day" devotional you promised me?
What is this new script about?

hmmm....is "Momma's Boy too colloquial? How about Mother's Special Boy? seems interesting...what is your favorite so far?

the thing about "mother's boy" is it's kind of like a play on "momma's boy" but also really formal, because their relationship is really formal.
Mother's Little Helper would be fun... not sure it fits though.

Did anyone yet comment, since people seemed to have enjoyed commenting about Dallas all year, that this season the Eagles won just as many post season games as the Cowboys?

I have to imagine being a cowboys fan feels like being an eagles fan.
13-3 and then losing the first playoff game, that stinks.
I don't have a favorite script, which is great. But I'll put them in tiers.
Black Family and Well-Adjusted Boy - tier one.
Retro Band, The Black Death - tier two. (these are more like tier one-b)
Hunter of Hunters - tier three
War Between the States - tier four.

I've heard people saying that they think T.O. crying was fake/staged. What do you think? Was it sincere or not?

apparently you can't embed youtube vidoes here.

That crying was really strange. See G.Cobb's take:
