the look machine

Winter 2001: Collin and Jason work together to finish off Jason’s attic, which would become the birth place of The Look Machine.

Summer 2002: Collin and Jason start writing and playing music together.

January 8, 2 AM:  Ian hears Collin playing guitar in the basement.  Unable to sleep, he gets up and joins him.  Wanderings is written.  One week later Ian joins The Machine.

Spring 2003:  Isaiah, the musical genius, gets recruited and starts learning how to play the bass.

April:  The band chooses The Look Machine as a name.

May 4: We play our debut concert trying to raise enough money to send Collin to Africa.  It’s a great success.  We get an encore and ship Collin off to Uganda.

Summer: The band members scatter to Newfoundland, Idaho, Uganda, Kenya and New York.

Fall: The band remembers their old songs, write a few new ones, and spend time recording the EP.

Tuesday, October 18:  If I Knew What to Say EP is released.

Saturday, October 22:  The band plays its first concert since the CD is released.

December:  After an intense series of try-outs David Watts joins the band. Since then, we have been rockin' the east coast and recording our debut album.
