New Music

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had come across any good new music lately. I've been getting a little bored with my cds but I don't know of any new stuff to buy. I was thinking of getting Yellowcard's cd. Has anyone heard it? I've heard like 3 songs by them that I like. The violin adds something new to it.

Well if you have discovered some great new band let us know. Maybe tell us what style the band is and some other info about them. Thanks guys.

Whenever I want to hear something new, I go on Garageband.com. There are some really good bands on there.

These are some songs I like, I don't know what you listen to:

In Me by Leisure Alaska - my personal favorite
jump rope chant by Business or Art - cool a capella intro
Policemen & Planes by H.A.D. - reminds me of the pixies, radiohead
Flow by 5 Star Day - rock
Break me in by paper street saints - rock
Set on the Sun by Downstage - rock
Pack of Lies by rocKetface - real simple, catchy tune
California (2004) by SMOKESCREEN - radioheadish?
Buttermilk Sundae by SMOKESCREEN - different than the other song
(The Ghost Of) Santa Fe by Secret Suburbia - Tool/A Perfect Circle
What Goes Around by Shonuff - Very good singer, reminds me a little of Lenny Kravitz
My Heroin by Kid Chameleon - oddball song, very very weird but i like it
By Now by ! Copper ! - great rock song

the Fire Theft has a really great album out.
it's the former lead singer of sunny day real estate, who is a christian, and the music is just incredible. Kind of emo rock but totally melodic, not screaming.

I am liking Moment in Grace's recently released album. The singer has pretty incredible voice.

I do like Ocean Avenue, but haven't heard anything else. I agree the violin is an excellent addition.

Dude, there's this band called anberlin. They are really awesome! Just kind of smooth nice rock. It's a tiny bit poppy, but it's so good, that's forgivable.

I also have to agree with Jason, Moments in Grace's new album is excellent.

David, Ocean Avenue is a great album. I have it. Moments in grace is also incredible! I listen to them non-stop. I also love Blindside. I have all four CDs there are 48 incredible songs! Anbberlin does rock, I agree with Ian. I also Hear that Chevelle has a new Cd on the way. I'm sure that that too will be a great CD.

Yeah I like Ocean Avenue. I'll have to check out some of the other stuff you guys mentioned but right now I'm broke (buying a truck will do that).

Yeah man. I got a 97 Dodge Dakota (71,500 miles). It's sweet, it's got everything I wanted. Looks really good too (besides the fact of it being white). V8, 4x4, tow package, tool box, even a wawa tea holder (very importent option right there).

Thanks guys, I really like Moments in Grace. Everyone should check out 12 Stones and Kutless. I've never been much for christian rock, but these bands are really good. If you get a kutless cd get their first one. I think it's self titled. One of the best cds I've ever heard.

Coolio!

I was just out surfing on the world wide web, when I saw this! Snake Man said.." In Me by Leisure Alaska - my personal favorit".

Thanx a lot man! I wrote that song 6-7 years ago - and I still like a lot as well :-)

Any chance you guys could help me and my band with a concert over there? Or maybe shop our music around to people in the industry?

Well - sorry for my interruption (and bad spelling). I just think it is nice that someone so far away likes my music!

Kind regards Andreas
