Shane

My brother, Shane, has been working on a lot of music lately, and he's getting good! He's got a couple of rough recordings up on Pure Volume. Check it out! You should download his song called "Hopes of Life Lately" because, well, it's a good song.

Thanks. It's supposed to be an electric song, but I don't have that recoreded yet. I'll work on it. :)

Is there a difference between "rock" and "rock 'n roll"? I think of it like rock 'n roll is old people playing electric guitars, but rock is what we hear these days from heavy bands. Any thoughts?

I'm kinda agreeing on the difference... I mean... it is supposed to be the same I think... but i guess it has kinda "evolved" if you will into what is now just rock.

I'd say rock and roll has more of a classic rock influence, with blues mixed in here -- like Jet, or the Strokes, while rock has become more punkish and has more to do with hard rock than rock and roll. . .

Hey, this is a nice little conversation and all, but this post is supposed to be about me! the only real music in the world is mine, so why talk about all that other junk on a post about me? com on, back to the point. I want to see essays on how wonderful my music is! (j/k)
I think that you guys are right about rock vs. rock 'n rol and stuff. I don't really understand what you're saying, but I'm sure you're right.

so tonight i was singing some good songs... and heres one that came to mind :

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the
whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we really like to do
It ain't no trick to get rich quick
If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick
In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! In a mine!
Where a million diamonds shine!

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig from early morn till night
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up everything in sight
We dig up diamonds by the score
A THOUSAND RUBIES, SOMETIMES MORE
BUT WE DONT KNOW WHAT WE DIG EM' FOR
We dig dig dig a-dig dig

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

Hey, I am sorry to hear about your broken heart symdrome! That Shane... he's broken the hearts of a thousand girls.

We are having one show this coming sunday (the 19th) at Newark's Communitay day. We'll be playing at 1030 am outside on the green, which is the big strip of grass formerly known as the Mall on the U of D campus.

Our next show is Thursday, september 23rd at eastern College.

By the way -- On My Own from Les Miz -- GORGEOUS! I've always preferred Eponine to Cossette in that show.

Jason, Yes! I definitely prefer Eponine also! Every time I have seen the show she is better and better. Her character is so good. What an awesome broadway show/ book/ story. It is my favorite. The Music is fantastic. I am glad to hear you know about it.
