Grape Street Pub Poster
We have to get promotional posters up to the Grape Street Pub in the next week for our show on Dec 8th. What's everyone think of this one? Would this get your attention and get you to show up if you saw it? Also, it now says "emotionally charged melodic rock" but I don't quite like that description. Any suggestions?

i don't know if i like the part where you say who you recently played with.. i know where you're going with that.. but i just don't know if i like it..
It's kind of an attempt to give people a frame of reference, because likely people in Philly aren't going to know us at all. And at the Grape Street Pub especially they love Jealousy Curve. Any idea for alternatives?
HOw big are the poster going to be or is that the real size

Hey Jason, that looks really cool! too bad i am not 21 yet... almost 20 though, oh well i hope it goes wonderfully, and that people love the band, and that you make tons of money :) hehe anyway, i do think it looks cool,i especially like the faded pictures in the backround i like that style.
Instead of "emotionally charged melodic rock", you could say, "We don't suck". Or "Musical geniuses, one and all". Or "sound alot like Oil-flavored Swiss Cheese" I don't know. Something really cool like that. Also, you might want to add that Gate Called Beautiful opened for you. That would draw some more of the Hardcore crowd. Just a thought.
P.S. My only criticism on the poster is that the "g" is cutting off part of Isaiah's head. It's kinda mean to do that to a guy that's only on one small corner of the poster. The least you could do is let his whole head be shown. Pervert.
I head what you're saying jason.. i think upon furthur review I would say leave it there.. I think overall the poster is really good and the little thing at the bottom will more or less not be all that noticible..

Xerxes, you know how it is. Bass players are like kickers on a football team. Just be thankful his whole head is not cut off.
Ooh, I like the name-dropping. I'd move Jealousy Curve to the front because they're awesome.
But even though I like it, I can't give it a nod of approval until the words "Snake Man" appear on it somewhere.
Maybe if Isaiah would move ocassionally on stage he would be able to avoid the dreaded "g."
Hey whats wrong with bass players? lol im playing bass and its grand. But if i would of known that bass players get kicked off a band that quick then man i would of taken up the violin again. haha j/k... its actually kinda hard for me to play bass because holding down the strings hurt a lil for me because i'm a girl and i dont have rough or strong hands or anything. Once i put band-aids on them and it was actually pretty cool but i looked like a freak that has lots of cuts haha. I actually started like in August roughly so yes a beginner here. *blushes* im in the midst of pro's here

Another thought: any way you guys can get this recorded for those of us who are not yet 21? Not that I'm not yet 21, I was just wondering...

cool poster :-) Can you make it so that the colors are more vivid? a.k.a. there isn't quite as much transparent glaze?
I like the transpatent glaze. The thing I don't like so much is that the the one guitarist has his head cut off in one of the pictures. What is it with the look machine and partial decapatations?

Is there any way you could put something like "free downloads at thelookmachine.com" so that people could hear you? That would be cool. You could also say, "future rock Gods." or maybe, "the best band ever." or maybe you could put a phrase that would cathc people's eye and make them want to listen. Like, "We don't suck too much." or "one of the average things invented since sliced bread."

how about near the "recently played with boysetsfire, put "check out boysetsfire.com and new album out in April! featuring the greatest guitar player since jimi hendrix Joshua Latshaw!" just a thought
