MUSE

We had an excellent show today (at the Harmony Grange again!), a private party, just an acoustic set. Another $100 for the Machine, not too shabby. I thought we sounded pretty good. There were people of all ages there, and I'm very grateful that we decided to do an acoustic set. An electrified show would have been a disaster of titanic proportions.

Anyway, now I am getting ready to leave to see Muse at the Electric Factory in Philly. They are an incredible band, I know I say it all the time but if you haven't gotten their album ABSOLUTION you are truly missing out. Anyway, it's sold out tonight and should be a great show. I saw them open for the Cure during the summer and it was probably the best 20 minute set ever (excepting ours from last weekend of course). I can't wait to see what they can do as headliners.

Hopefully I can get a cool shirt too. Their merchandise at the Cure show was lame!

Muse was outstanding!!! Really, they are at the very top of my list for bands to see in concert and they did not dissappoint me in the least. I have never seen 3 people with so much energy and ability.

On a different note, we met David's girlfriend today and she was not just his imaginary friend, she was a real person. I think I speak for the rest of the band when I say that she was very nice and I was pleased to finally meet her.

MUSE....SNOOZE. ok ok, I must admit that I like them better than I did last year when Josh came back from Europe and said, "get ready to hear your new favorite band". Friends, a word about me, never imply that any band is better than my beloved...(U2 for those who don't know me) because my sympathetic nervous system instantly goes wild with fight or flight surging through my body...making it virtually impossible to appreciate any new music. dramatic...indeed, but after all...I WOULD keep the intoxicating Mr. H in a jar for crying out loud. He'd be just like a firefly and twinkle like a star, and I would let him out to play, but he wouldn't go to far...

Did you try buying from the homeless men in the parking lot. They are selling things that look just the same for $5. Or then again, you could probably find a way to just win one.

The street shirt I saw looked horrible. It had this weird caricature on the back of it of the band. If I wanted a knock off shirt, I could make one myself.

AND IAN C'MON DON'T YOU KNOW THAT MERCH IS LIKE THE MAIN WAY THAT UP AND COMING BANDS MAKE MONEY! You can't be recommending that I buy a pirated one, right? :-)

I'd have to say that Muse is already way up and not coming. But yeah, ripping off good fellow bands isn't very cool.

Man,
That was quite the experience...
I wished that the keyboard stand would fly
and some of their fans* would die.

*their fans being these three girls...
Long story. violating story. Tramatic experience for a hameschooler...

Wow killing girls Shane? Not too nice lol j/k but i wonder if im on that hit list too...heh i made one up in math class for fun which i wont say here because somethings on there may offend people but it was funny. One person on it was this math teacher i had named mr.murphy. He actually came in and my friend ripped the list into many pieces and when we got home she burned it lol. Ouite funny i must say...but dont worry it was for fun i'll never make another one again lol.
