Staying at Home

When we lived in our townhouse, I would get very upset if a day went by where I didn't leave the house. I would feel cooped up, stale. .. kind of like a loser. But ever since we moved, I tend to enjoy the time we spend in the new house and the backyard to the point that often a day will go by and we don't leave. There is just so much to do.

Today we got all decorated for Christmas. The tree is up, the stockings, the lights. I love this time of year. And it's so fun with kids who appreciate it.

Did anybody go shopping today? I used to like doing that, but chasing a 2 year old in those crowds cured me of that quickly.

I shop online mostly these days.

I don't know, but I think November 26th is a bit early for a Christmas tree. What exactly is the "shelf-life" on those things, anyway?

I think after Thanksgiving it's fair game, not a day before though.

Shelf life? Forever. Due to Darb's allergies, we unfortunately have a fake one. But it looks real, so it's not so bad. But man I fought that one and complained and generally acted like a baby, because I had a huge bias against fake christmas trees. But then Darby said, "What if the tradition was to decorate some huge cat in the middle of your living room?" Aside from the obvious cruelty of such a practice, I am very allergic to cats, so I understood.
