The Walking Robots are Finally Here
This is a very special day for me.
Because finally we have motorized robot suits. Made by Toyota, these are meant to allow disabled people to walk and climb up stairs. MUCH cooler than a wheel chair. And there are ones that roll around (presumably faster).
I want to buy 5 of them and then we can play our shows when "robotized."

Now if only they could start working on the flying cars that we were all promised.
Thanks to Gizmodo.com for letting us know about the existence of these beauties.

I just want one of those fancy suits they are wearing. Is that part of the device?
You're talking about getting the silver suits that the girl is in right? the robot thing is pretty cool, but those are awesome! I can just imagine the five of you in those, and Xerxes, in his native garb, cheering you on... rock on!
What's with the ugly futuristic theme? Can't we get some robots that look like they were made in the year 2000 instead of 3000? Pshht.
What do you want your robots made out of -- wood and stone? Old School Robots.
Xerxes could benefit from ANY suit besides good ol B-Day.
w00t! I have to agree with Collin about the suit Xerxes... I really do. Those are very interesting robots... veerrry interesting.... *shifty eyes*
We already have flying cars......they're called planes.
I wouldn't rush out and buy these rascals just yet, I'd wait til they work the bugs out of them. I had the misfortune of purchasing one of the first off the line, and it left me stranded halfway up a flight of stairs. It must have had some kind of electrical short in it 'cause it would go up one step, stop, and reverse to the previous step. Back and forth, back and forth. The only consolation was that there was a mirror on the wall, so I was able to check out my snazzy suit while doing the two step (pardon the pun) for three hours til someone came along and rescued me. (Yes, the snazzy suits come with the robots and they feel even better than they look...)

. . . The freaky guys in the freaky suits freak me out.
By the way. Let me clear something up:
I'm not ALWAYS naked.
I just like it when I AM naked.
Thank you.
. . . perverts.
*chuckles* you guys are funny and btw i think those suits are rcokin...I'll def be a tester of those. Go future!

There was a pretty interesting special on robotics on the history channel not too long ago. I love the history channel. My husband and I spent many a date watching the history channel during our "courtship". (I love that word; it's so antiquated)
The History channel is cool especially when they do programs of ancient egypt which im really fascinated by. As a present, me and my sister are going to egypt later in like 2 years from now when we think things would die down over there (war and alot of anti-american feelings over there) but i cant wait! And just wondering has anyone heard of All one surface? Pretty cool band. Ok im gone
