To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad.
When you're a 10 year old kid walking to school and a car drives by through a puddle and splashes you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school that way or go home and change and be late for school. So while he was deciding, I drove by and splashed him again.
If you work on a lobster boat, sneaking up behind people and pinching them is probably a joke that gets old real fast.
Broken promises don't upset me. I just think, why did they believe me?
I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than to be selfish and worry about my liver.'
Perhaps, if I am very lucky, the feeble efforts of my lifetime will someday be noticed, and maybe, in some small way, they will acknowledge the beer jacket as mankind's triumph.
I bet a fun thing would be to go way back in time to where there was going to be an eclipse and tell the cave men, "If I have come to destroy you, may the sun be blotted out from the sky." Just then the eclipse would start, and they'd probably try to kill you or something, but then you could explain about the rotation of the moon and all, and everyone would get a good laugh.

I was always a bit confused about it because an EP is always just a demo with a few songs. I think that it is called an EP because demos used to just have one single on them, so having like 4 or 5 songs is greatly extended.

LP=Long Play. That is a full length album. I think that this is the origin of an LP being a full-length. Shortly after WW2, Colombia Records developed a new kind of record that played at 33.33 RPMs (old ones played at 78.5). These new records also had thinner grooves called microgrooves that could hold more information. Due to the thinner grooves and slower reolution of the disk, it was possible for the first time to put multiple songs on each side of a record. This innovation made it possible to listen to music without changing the record after every song. Because it could hold more music, it was called a "Long Play" record. So now, when bnds put a whole bunch of songs together, it is called an LP.
Does anyone know why a collection of songs in one place is called an "album?" There is another dorky bit of history behind that name as well.
A dictionary definition of album is: 1) A set of musical recordings stored together in jackets under one binding. 2)The holder for such recordings. 3)One or more 12-inch long-playing records in a slipcase.
So it would seem records used to be unable to hold an entire "set" of songs, so multiple records would be used and sold in an "album,"... and it kinda stuck.

You are a genius!!! Before the days of LP records, companies used to sell leather or cardboard cases designed to hold several records (singles). These cases were just like photo albums, so they were dubbed "albums." With the invention of LP records, it was possible to keep an entire collection of songs on one disk, but the term "album" refering to a collection of songs stuck.
